Meet Judy Plunkett, Laboratory Manager

Judy Plunkett“I fell into the Asbestos Industry by accident a little over 5years ago and finding it so interesting I have never looked back. Started in an Administration Role – assisting Project Managers, assisting Surveyors out in the field, compiling Survey Reports, answering telephones, etc. In 2013, I qualified as a Bulk Analyst and since then my role has moved from the desk into the laboratory, analysing samples taken by the Surveyors. With my P401 qualification, experience and other skills I have gained throughout my working years, I have managed to climb the ladder to the position of Laboratory Manager. I have been working for Omega Asbestos Consulting for only a short while now – since September 2015, but already feel very much at home and a part of the “Omega Family”, thanks to this very friendly, helpful and dedicated team.

I am the “Granny” in the “Omega Family”, as I am in my own family. I am married, have 2 grown up children & 2 very precious Granddaughters. In my spare time I like baking, walking and in the summer, I love a good boot sale. I also love gardening, but in winter I prefer cuddling up on the sofa with a good book and mug of hot chocolate!!”.
