“Following a successful 10year career as a civil servant since 2004, I found myself with a desire for a new and exciting challenge and embarked on a career within the asbestos industry.
Since pursuing this new career, I have successfully completed the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 modules within 4 months of joining my first employer. As a result of my hard work and commitment I have also had the opportunity to complete the IOSH managing safely qualification.
I quickly gained a wide range of site experience on a number of asbestos related projects.
I have conducted all survey types, from domestic to commercial and industrial sites, to meet the client’s needs whilst ensuring site safety and compliance with the various asbestos/health and safety legislation.
I have also conducted analytical duties comprising air monitoring for non-licensed works as well as conducting 4 stage clearances and project management for licensed work on a wide variety of sites including:
- Local Authorities
- Retail sector
- NHS Trust’s
- Chemicals industry
- Power Stations
I am proud to say that my technical work has been audited by UKAS for the past 2 years and on each occasion, I demonstrated my exceptionally high standards and commitment to my role with no reported faults.
In addition to undertaking the role of a consultant I have also been involved with field training for new members of staff which in turn has resulted in colleagues successfully obtaining the BOHS P403 & 404 qualifications.
Continuing my development I have assisted with and facilitated asbestos awareness training on an number of occasions and conducted field audits on staff members.
I set out to make sure I deliver exceptional results and a great experience for all clients.
I moved to Omega in April 2017 as I felt Gary’s vision and business culture was in tune with my own and allowed me great opportunites for career and personal development”.
