I started out in the industry in 2012 as a Laboratory Technician with a large national company where I obtained my P401 to become a bulk analyst. Becoming disillusioned with the larger company, I joined Omega in 2013 as they offered career progression within a young vibrant growing company. With the excellent training provided, I obtained my P403 and P404 in May 2014 and was promoted to Asbestos Analyst.
I have a determined drive and an eagerness to learn and develop which fits well with the Omega ethos of training staff well and offering career progression.
During my time at Omega I have been responsible for the Laboratory and ensuring bulk samples are analysed correctly and on time. I produce bulk certificates and also survey reports ensuring that reports are produced punctually and accurately.
My site work has progressed from simple small enclosures to large complex boiler rooms and under-crofts. My role continues to develop and I have become more client facing and responsible for producing removal specifications and tendering works as well as providing all on-site analyst duties.
I also assisted the MD & Quality Manager with our quality management system and ensuring our continued compliance with UKAS accreditations.
I decided to change my business model and now work for Omega as a freelance consultant but under a fixed term contract. I continue to enjoy my time with a great team.
